How to Create a Quote in Travelator
Creating your first quote in Travelator is quick and easy. Follow these steps to generate a polished client-ready travel proposal in just minutes.
Step 1: Sign In
Make sure you’re signed into your Travelator account using your Google login. If you’re not signed in, the system will prompt you before you can generate a quote.
Step 2: Choose Your Quote Type
At the top of the quotes page, you’ll see two options:
- Package Holiday
- Hotel Only
Click the one that matches what you’re quoting for your client.
Step 3: Enter Your Client’s Details
Fill in your client’s full name. This helps personalise the quote.
Step 4: Add Travel Dates
Choose your client’s check-in and check-out dates. The system won’t let you pick invalid dates (e.g., check-out before check-in).
Step 5: Paste the Messy Quote (Important!)
This is the most important step. Paste all the details you received from your supplier into the “messy quote” box. There’s no character limit, so please include as much information as possible.
⚠️ If you don’t provide enough detail, the system may not be able to extract the right information, and your generated quote will be incomplete or low quality.
What to include in your messy quote:
- Flight details: dates, times, flight numbers, departure & arrival airports, airlines, baggage allowances
- Hotel information: hotel name, star rating, room type, board basis, number of nights
- Transfers: whether transfers are included (coach, private minibus, etc.)
- Passengers: number of adults, children, infants
- Price: total cost of the holiday (and flight cost if available)
The more detail you paste in, the better your quote will look.
Step 6: Add a Hotel Link (Tripadvisor)
Paste the hotel’s Tripadvisor URL so Travelator can pull in the right images and details.
⚠️ Important: Make sure you use a Hotel Review page link, not a general search or location page.
✅ Correct:
      https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g123456-d7890123-Example_Hotel.html
❌ Incorrect:
      https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Search?q=Example+Hotel
      https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Tourism-g123456-ExampleCity.html
If you’re unsure, just search for your hotel on Tripadvisor, click into its Hotel Review page, and copy the full URL from the browser bar.
Step 7: Select Airlines (Package Holiday only)
If you’re creating a Package Holiday quote, select the outbound and inbound airlines from the dropdown.
Step 8: Add Supplier Information
Type in the supplier name (e.g., “Jet2 Holidays”) and add the link to the supplier’s Terms & Conditions page.
Step 9: Pick a Theme
Choose a design theme for your quote (Luxury Escape, Beach Vibes, City Break, etc.). This controls how the finished presentation looks.
